Hey Kelly,

I was diagnosed woth PCOS when I was 19 and am now 25. I have been throught the gamut of pills and things that were supposed to help me lose weight and the facial hair thing. I have yet to find something that works. I went to a biochemist who treats with vitamins and all sorts of funky stuff. It did no good at all. In fact I found that when I was seeing her my weight was increasing and my pocket book was shrinking. I have since gone back to my OBGYN and Endocrinologist for more answers. They are going to put me on Metformin because the Glucophage did nothing. I was also told to try a modified atkins diet (not all the fat), for weight loss. As far as the hair problem goes I am now resorting to laser treatment which is not really permanent. I hope this aids somewhat with your struggles.
