Kaydee I have not personally been successful on the Atkins diet in recent years, but I know quite a few PCOSers have been. It goes against the Drs advice, but if you really stick to the low carb plan it will bring down the cholesterol and triglycerides. The trick is you absulutely have to stay away from those carbs. My dad got his tryclycerides down from over 700 to around 100 on an Atkins type diet, his cholesteral was about 150 after a couple of months on it. You use the fats for fuel if you are not taking in any carbs so the fats don't raise your blood fats. Cindi
