HI! What about asking your doctor about metformin? It's a med usually
prescribed to folks with type II diabetes (I THINK, I'm brand new to
this having just been dx yesterday and having a world-wind tour with
PCOS on the web); it supposedly cuts to the cause of the PCOS problem by
helping the body not be insulin resistant, and 90% of women in studies
have automatically had their periods regulated, became fertile, and lost
2-65 pounds, changing NOTHING but taking metformin. hope this helps.
good luck with having a baby. the first thing i asked when my doc told
me yesterday i probably have pcos is "can i get pregnant?"
