Dear Angela :

Yes, it took us 3 years ro get pregnant. I went to a fertilitly specialist. I used Fertinex and hcg shots and artificial insemination. This was in early 1998. At that time the use of Met for this was not very popular. It had been suggested to me and I was considering, but then I got pregnant and was nursing so it was not an option. During fertility treatments and pregnancy, I was a fanatic about eating properly, well tried to with all the emotional ups-n-downs that the drugs caused, once preggie tho, i was so careful about sugar and fats, I was terrifed of getting gestational diabetes, I took lots of vitamins, a multi, vita c, vita e , beta-carotene, and a b complex plus extra calicum, b/c i am not a milk drinker, and a soy protein shake, b/c i am not a big meat eater. I still takes the soy protein shakes every day as my breakfast, what a great way to start the day, and I need all the extra energy it provides to keep up w/ my daughter. I find that taking a B complex helps to reduce the cravings, esp. those carbo cravings.

In general I feel great, except for the extra weight issues. I have lots of energy and am active. Altho I do need a more regimented exercise routine.
