Hi :

I just read alot of the msgs here, this will be a valuable resource. I was diagnosed in 1997 while I was trying to get pregnant. I am currently 34 and have a beautiful baby girl (20 mths already!) . So for those of you trying for a family, it can and does happen. But, now I need to know what to do next. My biggest issue is the weight and my future health. I am 5'8" and 210lbs. I lost alot of weight during my pregnancy (25 lbs) and 30 afterwards, but when I weaned my daughter, the weight started coming back on and my cycles became irregular again.

I found a series of great articles, in HEALTH magazine, a 3 part series beginning in March 2000, Titles THE INSULN THREAT. READ IT !!!!!!!!!! it's a great place to start and how i found out about this site.

Another book recommendation: THE GLUCOSE REVOLUTION by Nutrionist Thomas MS Wolever, Jennie Brand-Miller (editor) & Kaye Foster-Powell. Mine is on order, so I can't review at this time, but it sounds very promising.

Good Luck to all.

Let's Keep in touch !

Knowledge is Power.
