Hello to everyone!! My name is Angela. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am 35, weighing in at 226 and I am 5'1". I have had two children. One was a stillborn 15 years ago, my second was my son, a premie weihging in at 2lbs. 14oz. He is now 11 and doing great. After having my son I starting going down hill the weight came on, my periods stopped, the hair on my face well, I'll leave that up to the imagination. I have been trying to have a baby for about 6 years now. Been to every doctor you can imagine. Finally in June, due to a colleague's recommednation, I went to a RE. This RE diagnosed me with PCOS & IR. Well I immediately started the MET. I have been on it since June 18, my level was 31, I just got tested agian and it went down to 25.

We decided to start the process of trying to concieve. Which has started with Provera, then clomid, then the HCG shot, then 2 Inseminations followed by progesterone. All I can say I hope it works.

In the meanwhile I am still trying to lose weight. I have read the Protein Power, CAD, Suzanne Somers, and so. But I still have not tried any.

I would welcome any advice in diet and the reprodcution area. Has anyone with PCos & IR had success conceiving?

I have to say the only thing that socks me is that not more people are on this forum.

Hope to hear from someone.
