Hi Jeanie. Yes, a low-carb diet is good for us, but I think the main thing is we need a "balanced" diet. Balance your proteins, fats & carbs (of course, steering clear of the "bad" carbs). Diets like The Zone, Sugar Busters, etc. are presented in more of a balanced format than Atkins, so maybe you might want to do a little research on those.
