Hi Carrie, I understand your confusion. There is a lot of contradictory evidence out there. I can only offer my own experience. I am low carbing; I eat about 35 grams to 40 grams of carbs a day, and I have lost 22 lbs since january. It has been slow, but steady, and I am happy with my progress. I am taking 2000 mg/day of glucophage. Good luck with it. exercise helps too!
