Hello OBGYN.netters,
Thank you to all of you who wrote asking "Where's my UPDATE?" I was off in
Austria with Bruce at OEGGG (the Austrian O&G association see photo's at:
http://www.obgyn.net/country/austria/austria.htm) watching with pride as
our OBGYN.net Representative for Austria, Dr Leonhard Loimer was named the
OEGGG Technology Officer by the President of the association. Professor
Salzer also agreed to collaborate with OBGYN.net to help improve our
resources provided in German. We were also in London meeting with FIGO and
ISUOG. Then I got a terrible cold. I'm sorry I missed sending out the
UPDATE for a few weeks. But, I want you to know I have used this time
(swigging cough medicine) to good use to improve operations of our dear
OBGYN.net. :-)
As OBGYN.net approaches it's second birthday it has become like most
precocious toddlers. It's into everything and going everywhere with
enthusiasm! Back in the early days we decided on weekly updates to the site
because it took us about a week to round up new material and get it up.
Now, thanks to the dedication of all of you, and the support of our six
sponsors, Zeneca, FemRx, Siemens, Circon, Ostex and InnerDyne we have new
case studies, articles and press releases coming in faster than you can
shake a stick at!
Everyone on the staff has been working on ways to streamline both our look,
ease of use, and content delivery system for the last few months to keep up
with the pace. First we redesigned a non-frames, faster loading newspage
for all three main sections. We have now added a new footers to help with
navigation (I made this and am very proud of it :-). You will also see upon
your next visit the really BIG NEWS:
OBGYN.net IS NOW UPDATED DAILY!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes boys and girls, the day has come. The only way to keep up with the
precious toddler (little brat!) known as OBGYN.net, is to watch it
constantly. ROTFLOL!!!
We will be modifying the OBGYN.net WEEKLY UPDATES too. I will continue to
send out my UPDATES which will henceforth be called OBGYN.net Medical
Professional UPDATE. Barbara Nesbitt our Editor for the Women and Patients
Newspage will be sending out her own UPDATE called OBGYN.net Women &
Patients UPDATE. The OBGYN.net Industry UPDATE will be handled by our
Webmaster Kevin Sample and me.
So you'll be getting more often but shorter UPDATES and it will be easier
to identify the material YOU are interested in.
We will also be sure to make the news pages an extra easy place to find
outs what new, interesting, and exciting on the worlds #1 Internet
destination for Obstetrics and Gynecology, OBGYN.net. http://www.obgyn.net
Fondest Regards,
Roberta
