We have an extensive SPAM filtering system but no one had reported these particular messages. They have slightly different wording than other messages that we filter already. Today we will: (1) remove these messages from the web site and (2) add filters to prevent their reoccurrence. Please note that we (in the technical department) do not read each of the forum messages every day - there are too many! We rely on the coordinators for each section to inform us of any inappropriate messages that should be removed and/or blocked. If you - or anyone on the OBSTET-L list - will let us know (via mail to admin@obgyn.net) about inappropriate messages as soon as possible, they will disappear from the web site quickly. New filters will also be added to prevent those particular messages from ever going to the list again. Also, if there is any SPAM in Portuguese, it would help us if you could identify any particular phrase in the message that would be appropriate for use in a filter. It should be a phrase that would not normally appear in a legitimate message or it will block those messages as well. There will always be *new* SPAM appearing on any public mailing list but we will do our best to minimize it. Thanks, LAURENCE BREVARD
