Bob, However, the interpretation of the contract can be a cause of liability. Clearly, nowhere within the "contract" is it specified regarding reimbursement for colonoscopy if one has a positive hemocult, as an example. I have noticed that there is increasing language regarding the insurance companies reimbursement for infertility. My assumption has been that this area has been contentious in the past. ---------------------------- Charlie Chambers, MD ---------------------------- Owatonna Clinic-Mayo Health Systems ---------------------------- cchamber@mnic.net chambers.charles@mayo.edu

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
