You *know* that this won't be the patient who develops malignant hypertermia from the anesthetic, or a fatal pulmonary embolism from a post-op thrombus, etc. That's amazing. How, exactly, do you "know" this patient to be immune to such things? Or ask it another way: if she *were* to be the rare one to devlop a fatal complication, how would you justify your action to yourself. Never mind the jury--your lawyer will handle that. Do you really just look yourself in the mirror and say, "Hey, I was just doing what she told me to do"?" Bob you pompous Ass I've seen Ashely operate and I "know" he is capable. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
