Have just got back from the International Scientific Meeting of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (in Cape Town) at which one of the sessions was given over to cancer screening. One of the papers (from gynae oncologist at Barts) concerned screening for ovarian cancer in which it was made clear that elevated CA-125 warranted a laparoscopy even if no findings on U/S.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
