The data is extremely important for our work with HCFA and ultimately will affect reimbursement for ultrasound procedures from Medicare and may influence third party reimbursement in the future as well. It will affect your paycheck if ultrasound reimbursement is cut. The deadline is September 10, 1999 and will take some time to complete. Only 5 have been completed and we need 30 per specialty. For those of you with access to the list serves please talk up this survey and encourage persons to complete it. Thank you so much!!! Laurinda

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
