hydrotherapy/waterbirthFrom: Beth Bary (midwife@netpointe.com)Tue Aug 17 19:09:44 1999
Would any of the members of the list have information regarding research about the use of hydrotherapy for comfort during labor &/or it's use during birth. Most of the info I have located revolves around it's use in birthcenters and I am interested in the use in hospitals. I am particularly interested in credentialing requirements, and any negative research/info. Thanks for your help. Beth Bary CNM Indiana

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
