OR even possibly making an extensive ultrasound possible. Sometimes without fluid, you can't see well enough to do the extensive. Amnioinfusion will allow you to do that.

Diabetes (insulin dependent) and PIH is a very bad combination. I would strongly consider Targeted Ultrasound for congenital anomalies--BPP--and won't hesitate to deliver her in a tertiary center...soon. Amnioinfusion,IMHO -reserved from intrapartum treatment of variables/meconium (controversial)
