Re: First Trimester ScreeningFrom: Dan Logen (pdl@whidbey.net)Mon Aug 9 22:53:49 1999
I have been checking for nuchal translucency routinely for 3 or 4 years, and offering CVS or amnio for those with excessive thickening. Last September at the Swedish Hospital annual ultrasound conference in Seattle, I heard my first formal presentation of the data mentioned by Mark Newman earlier today. This was presented by Vivienne Souter who was involved in the research project with NT-HCG-PAPP in London. It is very impressive. To my knowledge it is not available in the Seattle area, but I assume it will be soon.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
