Than is basically the carpenter (marshall) and Coustan values which are more valid. Two years ago at the Gest DM meeting in Chicago, the Coustan valuse were overwhelmingly endorsed. The lack of change is related to the usual politics of ADA and ACOG. Needless to say, since so many medmal cases with shoulder dystocia have frequent missed on either/or missing screening entirely or not acting on data, the legal implications of lowering the cutoffs will be substantial. Rember also there are a number of folk who believe ethat GestDM is a disease looking for a cure, simply translated there is no such disease. For me the 95 etc cutoffs have been used. Ray Wait has had our residents use tohose values as well at Ben Taub Hospital. If anyone does choose to use the C/C data, you certainly will be exceeding the current s.o.c. Since I have been out of town if someone else has made this reply, sorry for the duplication.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
