What does a license mean?

Your credentials do make some difference in this....

Are you an MD, licensed by the State of Minnesota, with a Federal DEA license as well? Are you saying that your capabilities, training, knowledge and use of that knowledge is the same, different or what when compared to anyone who might declare he or she is fully capable of doing your job?

If as you state:

"*I* stand for genuine freedom of choice. *You* stand for coercion, restricted freedom, enforced monopoly."

then should we abolish all our licensing?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
