Yes, but what caused this patient's PID - the presence of an IUD or a behavior which allowed her to acquire the infecting organism? Does a history of PID *alone* predispose someone to reinfection with a new IUD, or is it that they may indulge in multiple sex partners which puts them at risk for reinfection?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
