I hope that this doesn't sound like I'm overreacting, but with beaking, and a shortened cervix (granted, it may have been that way a month ago) she is at imminent risk for hourglassing them, or ROM. Since she may be a bit further along than thought (when the cervix was measured, did we do the full scan with dates? Hope so!), I believe that hospital bedrest in trendelenberg, probably prophylactic tocolysis with MgSO4, and likely ultrasound guided rescue cerclage using a 30 cc foley to push up the membranes. Well, that's what the perinatologists at my place would do. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
