DNA probe for GC/chlamydia obtained because of cervicitis, mucoid d/c at os. Got cervical length us.....1.5-2.0 cm w/ funnelling/beaking. Placenta not lowlying. S>D by 10-14 days. What would you do? (and, yes, I consulted, and yes, there is a plan in place...I'm just curious how other folks would handle this.) >> Pelvic rest, antibiotics, rescan in a week... if cervix "cleans up" and remains short and open, might want to cerclage. No evidence of contractions? Joe P. P.S. I would place this lady at risk for incompetent cervix because of multiple SABs.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
