Re: Ablation failure and adenomyosisFrom: Bernard Cristalli (bcrist@club-internet.fr)Sun May 16 14:01:18 1999
IMHO too, adenomyosis is the primary cause of ablation failure. In case of unresponsive menorrhagia I propose a hysteroscopic resection as a first step but I tell the patient the risk of reccurence is high in case of endo (which is frequent). She is aware that in case of reccurence the treatment will be a TVH. Some patients prefer a TVH at once. I agree.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
