Bleeding after hysteroscopy in patient on HMG

I recently had to a diagnostic hysteroscopy on a patient after vaginal egg retrieval. The ultrasound scan showed defects suggestive of intrauterine adhesions. We decided to proceed with egg rerieval; freeze all embryos; and then transfer the frozen-thawed embryos in the future.

We retrieved 18 eggs; and an operative hysteroscopy done after retrieval showed a few intrauterine adhesions, which we removed by sharp dissection.

After completing the procedure, when removing the telescope from the cavity, profuse bleeding ( arterial spurting) was observed from the cavity. This was controlled by balloon tamponade for 24 hours.

I was wondering if the fact that the patient was on HMG increased the risk of endocervical laceration ( which was the presumable site of bleeding).

Has anyone else had a similar experience ?

Thanks !
