The bottom line of pharmacology is that the hormone interacts with receptors to affect a biologic change regardless of its source. There seems to be a belief that a chemical, because it is manufactured in the root of a plant rather than a lab, is somehow better.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
