el ..it depends on the indication for the emergency C/S...in a ruptured uterus it would be unwise...

Look...everybody knows that "emergency C/S" has many meanings. You may call an emergency C/S for a non reassuring fetal status and can do it with spinal (hypnosis or acupuncture if you are good at it :-)) if the baby responded adequately to intrauterine resuscitation. But with a ruptured uterus, vasa previa, masive abruptio...you do not fool around.

Some spinals may look like acupunctures even in expert, experienced hands ! :-)
