The manual reduction method via your hand has been described. Also replacement via laparotomy is an option (and from what I hear, a picture of this is a frequent boards question).

Interestingly there has been described a method via hydrostatic pressure to reduce an inverted uterus - put an IV bag of saline up and cup the uterus in somewhat and let the water do the work. I've never seen this done and have a hard time picturing exactly how the water is not going to just leak out around one's hand, but I've read about it. Would be interested in anyone has ever tried it.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
