Dan, I'm working on the newer version of our parent class now. The better version is 24 hours of classroom instruction with complications integrated into every topic. The 12 week class is too long and yes I'll be happy to send you the course outlines etc. I believe one can use education to" scare people to death"as Jeff Phelan does in his"Birth Injury and the Law"conference or you can use education to explain difficult judgment calls and if something does go wrong what's the proper thing to do about it with our present level of knowledge. We teach parents the limitations of current medical knowledge as well as limitations of what we can do and predict in and out of the hospital. Instead of making patients afraid it makes them think over their decisions and feel more at cause. I believe this will ultimately cut down on litigation. I will send you the material we use .Would send me your fax number ( it's long)?Best wishes,Tonya

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
