Not a reference, but an expert.

Reed Pyeritz, MD, PhD., is an Marfan syndrome expert guru in Pittsburgh. Professor and chair, Dept. Human Genetics, Allegheny University of the Health Sciences (or whatever it is called now). Had been at Johns Hopkins with McKusick (?). phone 412-359-6388 pyeritz@pgh.auhs.edu

Reed gave an excellent presentation to our department last fall. If I remember correctly, there is a very nice set of reference at Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man and there is also a website for a Marfan syndrome support group. Not sure if the Web site would have any references of use to the surgeon Jeffrey W. Clemens, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences Duquesne University Pittsburgh, PA 15282 412-396-4597 Fax-5907

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
