I see that nobody even took a crack at really answereing this question. Yes, I would weigh her at each visit. For the same reason that I weigh all other prenatal patients. I would be looking for the onset of water retention. I also would be working with this patient to try to keep her from gaining any weight during the pregnancy. I also would not want her to lose weight during the pregnancy either. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
