300+lb woman ( 134 +kg)

Our practice booked a woman today who we cannot weigh on our scale which goes up to 300 lb or 134 kg. We weigh women routinely because our OB consultants expect to see it and we never know which women will end up seeing the OB. If it was up to us (ie based on evidence, not on community standards) we would only weigh women who were underweight at booking.

My questions are

1. would list members arrange to weigh this woman? 2. what schedule? 3. why?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
