Any interventional radiologist can perform this very simple procedure. I have 2 patients who have undergone the procedure both of whom did not achieve the reported expected results..1) a 40-80% reduction in size of the fibroids, and 2) a 90% reduction in heavy menstrual flow. Not very impressive so far!! JGB

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
