Stephen, B1 might help slightly because it decreases anxiety. The reference for this is in the excellent text "Neurology for Non Neurologist".I forget the author. Also you may have more success with fresh ginger brewed as a tea. One of the two homeopathics that seems to be helpful in some women is Nux Vomicia 30x as needed. I hope you can help this lady because I lost 40 lbs with my last baby because of hyperemisis and it was truly miserable. We have an entire treatment program for this problem. If you or your patient have any further intrest in non pharmaceutical approaches I will post you our protocols separately. We have had some fairly difficult cases of this common problem. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
