No, it's 37 weeks to 42 weeks. That's been my point all along. 37 completed weeks is 37 weeks + 0 days of gestation and a woman is then in her 38th week, but is not 38 completed weeks.

I think Geff wrote it all out, didn't he? Anyway, the first week of pregnancy (were a woman actually pregnant then, which she is not) is 0+0 (which is the first day of the LMP) 0+1, 0+2, 0+3, 0+5, 0+6. When a woman completes that first week, she is one completed week or 1+0. She is in her second week, but she is not two weeks pregnant. That's why using ordinal is not a good thing. Nominal and ordinal numbers mean very different things.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
