GYN: Post coital bleedingFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Tue Nov 17 15:16:48 1998
33 YO P 1011 had a LEEP for severe dysplasia with clear margins in 5/98. Since that time, her cycles have been monthly, a bit longer than normal, and she has bright red bleeding during and after intercourse. On exam, her posterior lip of the cervix is nearly flush, and the endocervical canal is not particularly friable, and not particular large or everted. Recently, a saline sonography was normal, as was a hysteroscopy. The pathology showed a negative ECC, and the endometrium said "probably polyp fragments." She has continued to bleed after intercourse. I am at a loss for what to next do or offer her. Again, her hyteroscopy was normal, and I didn't see any polyps. I have thought about cryo of the cervix with a tip that goes up into the canal. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated. Garry
