I'm not sure about SOGC but you are correct about the ACOG statement.

My annoyance is from the use of "EFM" and meaning a box which generates a strip and the use of "ascultation" and meaning the same technology but no strip. This issue really has almost nothing to do with the use of doppler ultrasound to monitor the fetus during labor, rather its the organic circuits which process the information.
