oral contraceptive discontinuation and spontaneous abortion

Is anyone aware of any association between the cessation of OC's and spontaneous abortion (miscarriage), particularly if the pregnancy occurs in the first few months following the last pill? Or in other words, what is the party line on how long a woman should wait to get pregnant after she stops taking her OC's?

I'd appreciate any available information.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
