Primip comes in in labor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (Memorial Hospital). At that time, it was a residency run service. First cervical exam is 1 cm, next exam is 6 cm, next exam is 2 cm, next exam is 8 cm, next exam is 2+ cm. Turns out she had a didelphys uterus. Depending which cervix was examined, the dilatation varied greatly. The side of the uterus w/ the pregnancy dilated normally. The empty horn had slight, passive dilatation. It sure had the residents puzzled, though.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
