Re: What is high BP???From: Betsy Hyde (elishyde@connix.com)Fri Aug 7 21:10:01 1998

Who on this list actually have a complete set of >cuffs in their offices and their nurses/assistant know when to change >sizes in order to get the proper BP? > We have a properly sized cuffs, but can't quite convince all the nursing assistants and some of the nurses that it is important to use the right size. Lots of the nursing assistants think that they've *cured* a skinny woman's elevated BP when they retake it using a large sized cuff. (Sometimes they even write down the elevated BP...then we at least have a shot at finding it out!)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
