Re: low transverse c/sec with vertical extensionFrom: Geffrey Klein (GK6972@americanmed.com)Mon Jun 29 17:13:55 1998
If she were to have a VBAC without any problem it would be the RIGHT decision. If she were to have a catastophic uterine rupture it would have been the WRONG decision. It is hard to tell from the description if the doc cut the uterus upward or it tore downward. If it were the former, then she might have an anchor incision on the uterus. I think that it would be hard to defend the decision to labor if she were to have a serious complication... Geff Klein, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
