Bornstein: "Re: Preeclampsia Lab Package" To play devils advocate (spooky movie don't you think?), I have certainly been caught off guard by patients with relatively mild symptoms, and have significant laboratory abnormalities. Certainly the most common one is low platelets, but then the question is - is this an isolated finding (ie ITP etc ) or is this part of pre-eclampsia / help, and yes the differential does have different implications for me. Don't get me wrong, I don't like indiscriminant lab tests, but I have occasionaly gotten a suprise back in my labs. At Fri, 26 Jun 1998, Braun, R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
