Listers, FYI: Ampicillin resistance is in widespread use a selection marker in just about every biotech lab in the country that is doing anything with plasmids and E. coli. At least in the early days, transformation of bacteria by your plasmid of interest was selected for by plating/growth in LB/ Ampicillin media. As the industry has grown, there are other resistance genes in use. Jeff

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
