el, Don't know if this is pertinent to your survey or not, but I can say as someone who had it done twice--- it didn't bother me at all the first time under spinal. The 2nd time, under epidural, was pretty awful--- nauseating and the cramping and tugging were very distressing. The pain block was great, the other sensations were not blocked as well. As a long time L&D nurse, I have seen the same response with patients who had 1 shot epidurals (like I did). Others, with continuous infusion, seem to tolerate it better. Just my 2 cents. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
