I would like to find out about countries or practices that have a diffrent protocol for intrapartum GBS chemoprophylaxis for prevention of neonatal GBS infection, than the CDC recommendations. I am especially interested to find out if some practices are using IM Chemoprophylaxis, what agent and what schedule. How about the possibility of using oral antibiotics for Premature (prelabour) rupture of membranes with no onset of uterine contractions or prolonged latent phase. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
