Yes but what of tobacco? just because it is legal doesn't mean it is any less devastating. yet i don't see them lining up smoking gravidas and herding em off to detention. they make choices too, witness the warning on the pack. yes it is a complex issue but the criminal justice system is not the answer. as was posted previously, all we'll do is drive them underground and away from prenatal care.

at the same time, this is a chilling development in a free society. this was tried with brutal consequences in a large uncontrolled trial in europe in the 40's. and i thought the refrain was Never Again. we should all be outraged by what has transpired.

sorry but my 60's upbringing is showing again.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
