Ectopic pregnancyFrom: BNJShelton (BNJShelton@aol.com)Sun May 24 11:11:39 1998
I would be interested to learn what other methods of conservative treatment for an ectopic pregnancy in a fallopian tube are used. Other means than a laparoscopic linear salpingostomy or systemic methotrexate. 24 yo G1P0 presents with pain and bleeding. quant of 4200 with no intrauterine gestation, cul-de-sac fluid and an adnexal mass by ultrasound. During laparoscopy a linear salpingostomy is done and subsequently profuse bleeding from the fallopian tube. Any good ideas on limiting bleeding? vasopressin? Brent Shelton, M.D.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
