Steriod Therapy for Hyperemesis

I am trying to locate the latest research on the use of steriods to treat hyperemesis. The study published in QJM 1996: 89 by R. Taylor of the Royal Victoria Infirmary in the U.K. refers to a double-blind study that was about to begin under C. Nelson-Piercy (at Queen Charlotte's Hospital U.K.). Does anyone know the results, where they may have been published. or how to contact (e-mail?) either of these researchers?

It seems that in the U.K. and Canada, this treatment is viewed as a real breakthrough ("miracle cure") but that here in the U.S. there is ignorance and/or apathy about the treatment of severe cases with this treatment.

Do you know of anyone here working with steriods? Thanks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
