Actually, a positive fFN is not very useful as the sensitivity is poor (false positive rate is >50%) and there is no diagnostic test which can be used to follow-up this screening test and there are inconsistent proven treatment modalities.

The benefit of fFN screening is in it's excellent specificity...a negative fFN screen is highly predictive of non-risk for delivery. Allan

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
