Dear listmembers! I need your advice. I have a patient 49 years old with a familiar risk of breast cancer. Mother died of breast cancer at 56 years old / sister died of breast cancer at 57 years / sister with late diagnosis of breast cancer under chemiotherapy right now... Her mamographies show bilateral dysplasia with a negative biopsie of 2 yeras ago... She is very ansious about it... What do you suggest? 1) Repeat biopsy right now.... 2) Continue under 6-month mammographies... 3) Genetic screening... 4) Profilactic tamoxifen 5) Profilactic mastectomy

Thank you for your input...and see you in Nwe Orleans....

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
