Re: Birthin'From: Allan Fisher (fisheraj@UMDNJ.EDU)Thu May 7 08:44:22 1998
Those are some amazin' stories. Well here's mine... Mom, a smoker as well, went into labor spontaneously. She was heavily sedated ( I'm not sure with what). The Family Practice physician came in, decided I was a face presentation. He displaced me to a higher station, flexed my head and let Mom labor all over again. She remembers awakening to the marching band music the next day, Memorial Day. Imagine- a partial Zavanelli with a "new" indication. Was that a standard of care in the late 50's? Allan

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
